Governance and fiduciary oversight is the responsibility of Equality Hawaii Foundation's board of directors. Board members serve for three years and terms are staggered. Board members must serve on at least one committee. A Nominations Committee, which is chaired by one board member and one non-board member, reviews all nominations and submits recommendations to the board. Our Current Board...
Our Executive Committee...
Elected from within the board, the executive committee consists of the co-chairs, treasurer, secretary and an at-large member, typically an immediate past co-chair.
Our Standing Committees...
Equality Hawaii Foundation has three standing committees, all of which must have two co-chairs. Currently, these include Community Affairs, Communications and Resource Development.
Other Committees...
The board can establish ad-hoc or advisory committees as needed. Advisory committees, such as the Advisory Board, only meet if needed. Ad hoc committees, such as the Nominations Committee, are established to address special projects or issues.
