The Senate Committee on Judiciary and Labor has scheduled a hearing on the marriage equality bill ( Relating to Equal Rights) on Monday, October 28th, the first day of special session. The hearing will be held at 10:30 AM in the Capitol Auditorium.

We have five days left to make our case to members of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Labor that Hawaii is ready for marriage equality. And you can help right now by submitting your testimony and explaining why marriage matters to you and all of Hawaii’s families.

Submit your testimony to members of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Labor now!

If you can’t testify in person on Monday, but would like to submit written testimony, you can do so here using our easy-to-use online tool.

If you do plan to testify in person, you still need to submit your testimony ahead of time, you can do so at this link.

We have an intense couple weeks ahead of us, Supporter. And you’ll probably hear a lot of talk about political process and legislation.

But what happens in special session isn’t about politics. And it isn’t just about a single piece of legislation. It’s about real people, real families who believe in treating all `ohana with the respect they deserve.

Your story is the most powerful way you can urge our lawmakers to stand on the right side of history — and we’ve made it easy for you. Just explain in your own words why you believe in marriage equality and click submit. We’ll make sure it gets to members of the committee.
